Watching over the medical device industry

In the pdf and print versions of this feature article by Jeanne Lenzer we assigned the wrong job title to Dr Richard A Deyo in the caption accompanying his photograph (BMJ 2009;338:b2321, doi:10.1136/bmj.b2321). He is not a "prominent spine surgeon" (as we stated) but a prominent spine surgery researcher; he is based at Oregon Health and Science University, in the United States.
