In the online version of this paper by Charles D A Wolfe andcolleagues a symbol was wrong in table 2 (BMJ 2005;331:431,doi:10.1136/bmj.38510.458218.8F). The symbol in the "Prior Barthel"variable should have been a "greater than or equal to" symbol.
