Participation in mammography screening

An error introduced during the editing of this editorial by Lisa M Schwartz and Steven Woloshin persisted through the proof stage to publication (BMJ 2007;335:731-2, 13 Oct, doi: 10.1136/bmj.39350.590625.80). The last entry in the left hand column of the table should have read: "Patient receives an unnecessary diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer."
