In this article by Chibuzo Odigwe about the effect of famine in Niger, we inadvertently muddled up the names of two agencies working in the region (BMJ 2005;331:422, 20 Aug). It is the charity Médecins Sans Frontières, not the World Food Programme, that is running six inpatient nutritional rehabilitation centres and 33 outpatient programmes to treat children with severe malnutrition.
