Coronary artery bypass grafting is one of the commonest operations performed annually in the United Kingdom—and as a consequence, harvesting of the long saphenous vein to be used as a conduit is also common. Care should be taken when suturing tattooed skin at the end of an operation, whether at the chest incision (far left) or on the leg. The tattoo on this man's leg used to say "I LOVE WOMEN."
