Court upholds murder verdict on doctor who ended woman's life

The Royal Dutch Medical Association is calling for doctors who “end a patient's life without an explicit request” to be able to report their actions and have them judged outside a court of law. The “dilemmas” that doctors face in practice should not be judged on legal criteria alone, it argues.
