Suicide rate is decreasing in England and Wales

    The rising rate of suicide in men in England and Wales observed in the 1970s and ‘80s has reversed, and the suicide rate for both sexes is now decreasing, according to an analysis of suicide data from the Office for National Statistics (Br J Psychiatry 2000;176:64-7).
