Asthma resource centre did not improve management of asthma

In contrast Premaratne et al showed no improvement in the management of asthma in general practice following the use of nurse specialists who educated and supported practice nurses in their education of patients (p 1251). Their randomised trial of 41 practices showed no improvement in asthma related quality of life or other measures, or reductions in admissions among the patients in intervention practices.
