Kurt Stange, MD, PhD, has been named editor of the
Annals of Family Medicine, a new journal that will
publish original primary care research. Dr Stange is a professor of
family medicine, epidemiology/ biostatistics, oncology, and sociology
at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. William Phillips, MD,
MPH, a family physician from Seattle, has been named senior associate
editor of the new journal, which will be published by the American
Academy of Family Physicians, in collaboration with five other family
medicine organizations. The journal will debut in the spring of 2003.
Israeli students are refusing to perform intimate examinations on anaesthetised women without their informed consent.
