EDITOR $---$ The American Academy of Family Physicians has developed a series of recommended core educational or curriculum guidelinesfor family practice residents. One of these covers medical genetics.The guidelines include topics on attitudes, knowledge, skills,implementation, and resources required of primary care physiciansin the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of genetic disorders.They were developed in cooperation with the American College ofMedical Genetics, the Association of Professors of Human and MedicalGenetics, the Association of Departments of Family Medicine, theAssociation of Family Practice Residency Directors, and the Societyof Teachers of Family Medicine.
