New law is needed to clarify right to be treated in another European country, Lords committee says

    An influential House of Lords committee has given its backing to moves by the European Commission to make it easier for patients to travel for treatment in another EU country.

    However, given the many political, financial, and medical sensitivities involved, its report recommends that any future legislation be reviewed after three years.
