Slow handclapping and the sound of silence

Much as I like the idea of slow handclapping speakers who do not declare their conflict(s) of interest,1 this method of protest can really only be practised by the few that pay their own way to attend the meeting. Too many snouts are in the trough to expect anything other than shameful silence.
