Woman wins right to breast cancer drug: A woman with early stage breast cancer has won the right to be treated with trastuzumab (Herceptin), even though the drug is licensed only for metastatic disease. Barbara Clarke, 49, from Bridgwater, Somerset, won an appeal to the exceptional treatment panel of the Somerset Coast Primary Care Trust because she has a child with a life limiting condition.
