EDITOR—In opera, theatre, or literature the best deathsgenerally are those of brave fighters who kill themselves toavoid capture and degradation; the suicide of lovers becausethey have, or believe they have, lost their beloved ones; thesuicide ordered by rulers; and self sacrifice for a just cause.¹

But I would rather die in my bed, making love, quite simply.
