Payment in kind finances refresher course

EDITOR,--Maureen Baker and colleagues outline the need for are-entry course for vocationally trained doctors who are notcurrently working as principals. Such a course has already beenrun in my practice and was enjoyed by all concerned, but nofunds are currently available for this type of postgraduatetraining. This minor hurdle was overcome when our mature traineeoffered to do several locum surgeries after the end of her course--amuch appreciated gesture.
