Elizabeth Payne
After obtaining a degree in zoology from Nottingham University Liz Payne worked as a producers’ assistant on Radio 4 (Science Now, Medicine Now) and Radio 3 (general science programmes). She left radio to pursue a publishing career at the British Veterinary Association, where she was assistant editor of the Journal of Small Animal Practice. In the mid-90s she became a freelance medical editor and now spends much of her time editing original medical research.
