EDITOR—Ansell et al reported considerable variations in policies concerning the use of prophylactic vitamin K in the United Kingdom.1 With the published data supporting and not refuting the association of neonatal vitamin K with childhood malignancies, 2 3 the current practice of several policies is of serious concern.
