    EDITOR—Wilson, in his personal view on contracting Lyme disease, has shown how difficult it can be in the United Kingdom to secure this diagnosis and receive appropriate advice and support.1

    In August 1996 the Daily Telegraph magazine published an article about Lyme disease. At the end of the piece was an offer of a copy of a leaflet on the disease, published by the Association of Medical Microbiologists.
