    EDITOR, - There is a delicious irony about the letter from Anthony Walker, a management consultant, implying that loss of clinical freedom will be the deserved consequence of the arrogance and failings of a minority of physicians.1 I suggest that another shibboleth - “management prerogative” - is a more appropriate target for criticism in the current climate.
